KAI-TING YANG

Kai-Ting met Talese at New York Pilates, where they once had to stuff a life-sized skeleton into the backseat of an Uber, and hitch a ride to teach an instructor training workshop.

Kai-Ting is certified through the Kane School, and did more training through the Residency Program at Kinected Pilates Center. She’s taught Pilates at studios and corporate gyms across New York City. She’s also taught at a physical therapy office, where she worked with clients rehabbing from injuries, as well as those with spinal conditions and perinatal issues.

When she isn’t writing Aha Atlas newsletters, she’s doing baby laundry and dishes. A long time ago, Kai-Ting was a Biglaw lawyer doing very important things in front of a computer. (Both things are worth doing -- lawyering and (legal) laundering.)

TALESE HUNTTalese met Kai-Ting at New York Pilates, where they once drank too many mimosas at brunch and decided to rename the classical Pilates exercises after exotic animals. Talese is certified through STOTT PILATES and became an instructor trainer in 2012. Since then, she’s led teacher training around the United States and Asia, which feeds her need to travel. She loves the variety of working with all types of clients from post-injury rehab to high performance athletes. Talese believes Pilates makes everything in life feel better, easier, and more enjoyable, and dreams of a world where exercise can be more playful. Outside of creating Aha Atlas content, Talese loves dancing and getting into nature with her husband. She treasures her 5 years as a Radio City Rockette, and her time growing up in the beautiful mountains of Utah enjoying lots of outdoor activities like snowboarding, waterskiing, hiking, and camping. She posts Pilates videos on Instagram 3 days/week @talese.pilates
